Introduction to the Design Verification Module (DVM)

Date

Previously Held on Aug 18th, 2016

The SIMetrix/SIMPLIS Design Verification Module (DVM) allows a user to run a design schematic through a series of simulations, record the measured results and automatically generate a test report detailing the circuit's performance.

Although the "V" in DVM is for verification, DVM is a general purpose test automation tool which can be used at any point in the design process. DVM is equally useful in testing a single block as it is for testing the complete power converter solution.

This one hour webinar introduces DVM, the mechanics of setting up a design to run in DVM, and customizing testplans. Examples include plotting measured scalar values (e.g. average output voltage) against other scalar values on X-Y plots, creating design of experiments, and worst case analysis of the power converter.
