Since version 9.1, SIMetrix can read LTspice® schematics and use many LTspice® models even those containing special LTspice®-invented devices. In this one-hour webinar, John Warner will demonstrate opening an LTspice® schematic and then running a simulation for that schematic in SIMetrix. He will then go on to explain some of the nuances associated with transferring LTspice® designs to SIMetrix and then continuing further development in the SIMetrix environment.

Q&A Section
Q: Will this tool be available in the free version of SIMetrix/SIMPLIS?
A: This tool will be available with the release of Elements version 9.10.
Q: Is it possible to use this tool if LTspice® is not installed?
A: Yes, all that is necessary is for the LTspice® libraries to be located in their intended directory. See slide 13 for more information. Note, this is only a requirement for opening schematics that use the LTspice® library. Third-party models and symbols do not require the LTspice® libraries.
