The Sampling Clock Generator for Discrete Filters generates the narrow pulse width TRIG signals for use with the discrete time filters. You can think of this device as a one-shot which triggers on every rising edge of the input clock. The output pulse is set by the Acquisition Time parameter.
The information in this topic refers to the latest Sampling Clock Generator for Discrete Filters which was introduced in version 8.10. In versions prior to 8.10, a similar Sampling Clock Generator exists and has the same behavior as the new version. The new version is implemented in a library file as opposed to a templatescript, but the electrical behavior is identical. If you require a clock generator for use in versions prior to 8.10, the old Sampling Clock Generator for Discrete Filters can be placed from the part selector location: .
